DANIEL ALLCOCK SENTENCED IN CHESHIRE FOR GROOMING AND SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community in Cheshire, Daniel Allcock, also known by the alias Daniel Smith, has been handed a significant prison sentence after being found guilty of multiple serious sexual offenses involving a minor. The 27-year-old, who hails from Crewe, appeared before Chester Crown Court on a recent Friday to face justice for his actions.
Allcock pleaded guilty to a series of grave charges, including causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, encouraging a child to watch a sexual act, and engaging in sexual activity with a minor.
His conviction follows a detailed investigation that uncovered a pattern of predatory behavior aimed at a vulnerable 15-year-old girl.
The case originated from allegations made in April, when authorities arrested Allcock on suspicion of online grooming.
It was revealed that he had assumed the identity of a 19-year-old man in digital communications to manipulate and exploit the young girl.
The victim, who was only 14 at the time, began speaking with him on social media platforms between December 2023 and April 2024.
Despite her age, she disclosed her true age to him, but Allcock continued to pursue her.
He meticulously arranged to meet her on several occasions, even taking steps to facilitate her travel and providing her with specific meeting locations.
During these encounters, he engaged in sexual activities with her repeatedly, actions that have now led to his conviction.
The case drew further attention when concerns were raised by the victim’s school and social services, prompting Cheshire Police to intervene.
Investigations confirmed that Allcock was already known to Cheshire Police for previous sexual offenses, and it was evident that he was significantly older than the age he claimed to be online.
His arrest on April 18 was followed by charges, remand, and the implementation of safeguarding measures to protect the young girl involved.
Following his guilty plea, Allcock was sentenced to six years in prison.
Additionally, he will serve a four-year period on extended licence, ensuring close monitoring after his release.
As part of his ongoing legal obligations, he will remain on the sex offender register for life and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
A restraining order has also been issued to prevent any contact with the victim or her family, underscoring the severity of his crimes and the community’s need for protection.
