MICHAEL QUINLAN FROM ESSEX SENTENCED FOR SEX OFFENCES AGAINST YOUNG BOY

Michael Quinlan, a former physical education teacher from Essex, has been sentenced in connection with serious sexual offences.

The 73-year-old was given a suspended sentence of 22 months after being convicted on three counts of indecent assault involving a boy under the age of 14, as well as an additional count of indecent assault on a male individual.

Prior to the trial, Quinlan entered a plea of not guilty to the charges.

However, after a jury trial, the court found him guilty of the three counts of indecent assault.
