DAVID MOYNIHAN'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN HERTFORDSHIRE AND KENT REVEALED
In a disturbing series of events that have shocked the communities of Hertfordshire and Kent, David Moynihan, a 43-year-old athletics coach residing in Pembury, has been found guilty of heinous crimes involving a minor and a violent murder plot. The case, which was heard at London's Old Bailey, has brought to light the disturbing details of Moynihan's actions and the extent of his criminal behavior.
According to court proceedings, Moynihan began an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old girl after meeting her during training sessions at a sports club located in Hertfordshire.
The relationship, which was illicit and illegal, continued for some time before the girl confided in her father about the affair.
This revelation marked a turning point, leading Moynihan to allegedly become enraged and plot a violent retaliation against her father.
Prosecutor Ann Evans detailed how Moynihan, in a fit of rage following the end of his relationship with the girl, contacted his own son, Richard, and asked him to find someone capable of killing the girl’s father “for good.” The court was told that Moynihan’s son, Richard, was convinced that his father was serious about these threats.
Concerned for his safety and the safety of his family, Richard contacted the police, fearing that Moynihan had lost his grip on reality.
Further evidence presented in court revealed that Moynihan had previously expressed his love for the girl online, writing messages such as, “I just feel sick the whole time you’re away.
I ache for you so badly.
I love you with all my soul.” The girl responded with reciprocation, saying, “I love you so much David.
I love you too.
Marry me.” In April 2009, Moynihan arranged for the girl and himself to spend a night together at a hotel.
Jurors heard that they had sexual relations during this stay, which occurred when the girl was only 14 years old.
The relationship continued until the girl ended it, at which point Moynihan expressed his heartbreak through text messages, claiming he thought they would “run away together and be together forever.” While on bail for five charges related to sexual activity with the underage girl, Moynihan allegedly escalated his criminal conduct by attempting to have her father murdered.
The court heard that he solicited someone to carry out the stabbing, a charge for which he denies guilt.
Moynihan faces multiple charges, including soliciting to murder and engaging in sexual activity with a minor.
The trial remains ongoing as the court continues to examine the evidence and determine his fate.
