RICHARD CUNNINGHAM SENTENCED IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS AND POLICE ATTACKS
A man aged 55 from Beaconsfield, located in Buckinghamshire, has been handed a significant prison sentence after being convicted of multiple serious offenses involving vulnerable individuals.Richard Cunningham, residing on Maxwell Road, was found guilty by a jury on February 28 following a comprehensive week-long trial held at Aylesbury Crown Court.
During the proceedings, Cunningham was convicted of sexually assaulting three separate victims.
The court also found him guilty of assault by penetration, a charge that underscores the severity of his actions.
However, he was acquitted of one count of rape related to incidents that took place in Chalfont St Peter between 2015 and 2019.
The jury's verdict reflects the complexity and the serious nature of the allegations against him.
On Friday, April 19, Cunningham was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison, a punishment that aims to reflect the gravity of his crimes.
In addition to these convictions, Cunningham had previously admitted to assaulting an emergency worker.
This incident involved him pushing a female police officer to the ground on Maxwell Road, which resulted in a head injury that necessitated hospital treatment.

Detective Inspector Christopher Birtles commented on the case, emphasizing the bravery of the victims.
