ZESHAN AKHTAR'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN BUCKINGHAMSHIRE AND MILTON KEYNES
A notorious sex offender has seen his prison sentence lengthened after engaging in violent and abusive behavior in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.Zeshan Akhtar, aged 36, was already serving a seven-year term for sexual offenses but has now had an additional three months added to his punishment following recent convictions.
Akhtar, who resides on Gaddesden Crescent in Milton Keynes, appeared at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on June 30 to face charges related to his conduct.
During this hearing, he admitted to assaulting a vulnerable woman in Milton Keynes on March 10 of the previous year.
The details revealed that Akhtar targeted a woman he considered vulnerable, and his actions constituted a serious sexual assault, which was central to the court proceedings.
Furthermore, Akhtar acknowledged another misconduct incident involving a bus driver in Milton Keynes on December 2, 2020.
According to court records, he used abusive language and demonstrated aggressive behavior toward the bus driver during an encounter that also took place in Milton Keynes.
These charges initially saw Akhtar deny culpability; however, he later changed his plea to guilty during the June hearing.
As a result of his admissions, the magistrates decided to extend his existing prison term by an additional three months.
Prior to these incidents, Akhtar was convicted on May 5 at Luton Crown Court of serious sexual offenses.
The court sentenced him to a total of seven years imprisonment after he was found guilty on two counts of sexual assault and one count of assault by penetration.
The conviction stemmed from a disturbing incident that occurred on August 16, 2021, in Bedford town centre.
During that incident, Akhtar approached a distressed teenage girl, attempting to kiss her.
When the girl tried to escape his advances, he forcibly grabbed her and engaged in sexual assault.
The court heard that after the initial assault, he accompanied the girl home, holding her hand, and committed another sexual assault just 160 yards from her residence.
Akhtar had denied these allegations, but a jury found him guilty following a trial at Luton Crown Court.
The case was investigated by Detective Constable Katie Tavener, who expressed her condemnation of Akhtar's actions.
She stated, “No woman or girl should ever be made to feel scared and helpless.
Akhtar took advantage of a vulnerable young girl to sexually assault her.
When she said no, he ignored her, and no will always mean no.” The victim in this case demonstrated remarkable bravery by coming forward and reporting the assaults, which allowed justice to be pursued.
Akhtar’s continued criminal behavior, spanning multiple incidents in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes, underscores the ongoing threat he poses to the community and the importance of justice for his victims.
