ABERDEEN BUILDER NIGEL EVANS THREATENS TEENAGE GIRLS WITH STABBING AND UPLOADS
In August 2022, a disturbing case emerged involving Nigel Richard Evans, a building firm boss from Aberdeen, who engaged in a series of threatening and exploitative actions against two teenage girls.The incident took place during a work trip to Conwy county in 2021, where Evans, aged 26 at the time, met two girls aged 16 and 15.
The interactions quickly turned sinister as Evans made inappropriate requests and issued violent threats to silence the girls.
Evans initially asked the older girl for a video of herself, claiming it would help satisfy his 'sexual rage.' He promised to reciprocate by sending a similar video.
The 16-year-old girl complied and sent two explicit videos to Evans via Facebook, as detailed by prosecutor James Coutts during proceedings at Mold Crown Court.
The following day, Evans contacted the younger girl, offering her £300 in exchange for nude images, but she refused his proposition.
After the girls confronted Evans about his behavior, he responded with intimidation tactics.
He threatened to upload the videos of the older girl to Facebook and warned that he would harm their families if they reported him to authorities.
These threats were conveyed through a series of messages, one of which warned the girls to be cautious or face being 'battered or stabbed.' Further messages revealed Evans's violent intentions, with statements indicating he wanted to 'f**k some people up' and that the girls would need 'everyone they knew' to 'pin him down.' He also claimed it was 'hunting season' and declared he 'wouldn’t rest until someone was bleeding.' Throughout these exchanges, Evans repeatedly insulted the girls, calling them derogatory names.
Following his arrest, Evans initially denied all allegations, attempting to shift blame onto a teenage boy, suggesting that an old, unlocked phone could have been used to impersonate him online.
However, he later admitted to making indecent images of the 16-year-old girl, attempting to incite the 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity, and making threats through communication.
The court heard that the 15-year-old girl has since become wary of new people, especially older men, and is genuinely worried about what Evans might be capable of doing.
Meanwhile, the older girl expressed her distress, stating that the thought of her videos being shared publicly on social media made her feel 'sick and terrified.' In sentencing, Nigel Evans was sentenced to three years and three months in prison.
Additionally, he was handed a lifelong sexual harm prevention order to protect others from potential future offenses.
The case highlights the serious nature of online exploitation and threats, especially involving minors, and underscores the importance of vigilance and legal action in such cases.
