KYLE PARK ABERDEEN SEX OFFENDER SENTENCED FOR MULTIPLE RAPE CASES AND VIOLENT ATTACKS
In a series of disturbing incidents spanning from 2014 to 2018, Kyle Park, an 18-year-old resident of Aberdeen, has been convicted of multiple sexual offenses involving teenage girls. His criminal activities include the rape of four young women, one of whom was only 13 years old at the time, as well as other violent assaults and sexual misconduct.
The gravity of his crimes has led to a lengthy prison sentence, and his case has drawn significant attention from the judicial authorities and the public alike.
Park’s criminal trajectory began to unfold publicly in May 2019, when he admitted to raping four teenage girls, including the 13-year-old victim he met during a social work-organized trip.
The court heard that Park had initially befriended the girl after they started communicating via Facebook following day trips arranged by a social services department.
Over time, their online interactions transitioned into in-person meetings, culminating in a visit to Park’s family home in Aberdeen in July 2017.
During this visit, Park launched a sexual assault on the girl, who was sitting on his bed and chatting with him at the time.
According to court testimony, the girl attempted to resist, telling Park to stop and trying to hit him.
Despite her protests, Park forcibly removed her trousers and underwear, molesting and then raping her.
After the assault, she managed to get up and leave, but Park responded with violence, punching her in the ribs and warning her not to tell anyone about what had happened.
This incident was part of a pattern of predatory behavior, as Park had already raped two other teenage girls by that point and would go on to sexually assault a fourth victim.
Further details revealed that Park had been serving a 27-month detention sentence imposed at Aberdeen Sheriff Court for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.
His earliest possible release date from that sentence is in September of the same year.
Additionally, he was placed on the sex offenders register for ten years following that conviction.
His criminal record also includes an incident where he assaulted a fifth female, slashing her arm with a razor blade.
The court heard that Park had a history of violence and coercion, including physically assaulting a girl he met at college, pinning her against a wall with his hand around her throat, and lying across her chest to the point of causing her to lose consciousness.
One particularly distressing account involved Park forcing a 16-year-old girl to harm herself with a razor blade, threatening to do worse if she refused.
He later sliced her arm himself, leaving a one-inch cut.
The girl later confided in her mother about the assault.
Another victim, a girl aged 15 or 16, was subjected to physical violence and threats, including being held at knifepoint during an argument.
She managed to escape after punching Park and fleeing the scene.
In a separate incident in March 2017, Park raped a 16-year-old girl at his parents’ home in Aberdeen.
Despite her pleas to stop, he continued the assault, causing her significant pain.
She later told her mother about the incident.
The court also heard that Park had a history of coercive and violent behavior towards other young women, including encouraging a girl to cut herself and restraining her with his leg before inflicting a cut on her arm.
Most recently, in August 2018, Park attempted to rape a 15-year-old girl after they had been socializing.
The girl, who had voluntarily gone to his home, did not want to engage in sexual activity.
Nevertheless, Park tried to kiss her and proceeded to commit several sexual acts against her will.
He was convicted of assault and attempted rape and sentenced to two years in prison.
He is also required to register as a sex offender for ten years.
Judge Lady Wise, presiding over the case, expressed grave concern about Park’s pattern of behavior and his hostility towards women.
She noted that despite his young age, Park had already served time for other sexual offenses and posed a high risk of reoffending.
A background report was ordered to assist in sentencing, which is scheduled for next month.
The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of Park’s crimes and the ongoing threat he poses to the community in Aberdeen.
