JOHN CARR'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN WARRINGTON AND WIDNES REVEALED
In May 2022, a disturbing incident involving John Carr, a man with a troubling criminal history, came to light as he faced court proceedings related to his recent misconduct.Carr, who resides on Wilson Patten Street in Warrington town centre, was previously sentenced to three years in prison at Warrington Crown Court in 2015 for a separate incident.
His latest actions, however, have once again brought him into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
On this occasion, Carr was involved in an alarming encounter outside a residence in Widnes.
The incident unfolded as he was walking his dog late at night, visibly intoxicated after consuming a mixture of brandy, cider, and both prescribed and non-prescribed drugs.
During this drunken state, he approached a young girl who was walking home from a nearby shop, following her down an alleyway behind her property.
According to reports, Carr made an indecent and explicit proposition to the girl, which was both inappropriate and alarming.
In a shocking display of misconduct, he then asked her, “Can I have your knickers?” as she attempted to distance herself from him.
The young girl, understandably distressed, shouted for her father’s help and quickly ran away from the scene.
The incident left her feeling unwell, and she was up all night vomiting, indicating the emotional and physical toll it took on her.
Following the incident, police responded promptly to the scene.
When officers arrived at Carr’s flat, they conducted a search and found two pairs of knickers in his possession.
This discovery added to his troubling criminal record, which includes previous convictions for possessing indecent images of children and extreme pornographic material depicting unnatural acts involving animals.
On Wednesday, May 18, Carr appeared before Chester Magistrates Court to face charges related to his recent failure to comply with legal obligations.
It was revealed that he has been on the sex offenders’ register since 2014.
However, during April and May of this year, he failed to notify police of a change of address within a two-week period, breaching the conditions of his registration.
During the court proceedings, Carr, formerly residing on Bell House Road in Widnes, admitted to the failure to update his details as required.
Magistrates sentenced him to pay court costs of £85 and an additional victim surcharge of £80, emphasizing the ongoing concern regarding his conduct and the importance of monitoring sex offenders to protect the community.
