CRAIG KING FROM SALFORD AND WARRINGTON SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

In October 2013, it was revealed that Craig King, a man previously employed by Genie Commercial Cleaning in Warrington, had a disturbing criminal history linked to child abuse and exploitation. Up until October 30, 2013, King was working in Warrington, where his role involved entering private residences to perform carpet cleaning services. However, his employment was abruptly terminated after authorities exposed his background as a convicted paedophile, leading to his dismissal from the company. Following this revelation, Craig King relocated to Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, where he currently resides.

His criminal record includes a serious conviction from May 2008, when he was sentenced to two years in prison for possessing and distributing indecent images of a young girl. The images, which depicted King himself engaging in sexual acts with a baby girl approximately 18 months old, were discovered on a computer belonging to an individual arrested during a nationwide child abuse investigation. Although that individual was not connected to King, police identified him as the source of the images and subsequent abuse.

King, then aged 31 and residing in Swinton, Salford, admitted to multiple charges, including sexually assaulting a child under 13, creating indecent images of a child, and distributing such images. The Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard that the images were taken in January 2007, during a police examination of the computer of the arrested man. King later confessed to having sexually abused the young girl and admitted to taking three photographs of the abuse using his mobile phone. Furthermore, he disclosed that he had shared these images online while chatting about sex and child abuse, highlighting the extent of his criminal behavior.

Detective Constable Andrew Pilling of Greater Manchester Police’s Abusive Images Investigation Unit condemned King’s actions, stating, “What King did to this young child is absolutely appalling. This was a sickening example of what some people will do for their own sexual gratification.”

As a result of his crimes, Craig King was sentenced to an additional two years and four months in prison. His license period was extended by a further year and eight months, and he was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for a period of ten years, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities and compliance with legal restrictions.
