FALKIRK MAN STEPHEN FITZPATRICK CAUGHT TAKING SECRET PHOTOS OF CHILDREN

In March 2014, a Falkirk resident named Stephen Fitzpatrick, aged 41, was reported for taking covert photographs of children, some as young as 8, while he was out shopping.

Falkirk Sheriff Court was informed that Fitzpatrick took the images at Central Retail Park in October 2012.

Police subsequently discovered nearly 8,000 indecent images of children on his home computer.

The court deferred sentencing to allow for background reports, during which Fitzpatrick was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and granted bail.
