KEITH SEAMAN FROM FALKIRK SENT SEXUAL MESSAGES AND TRIED TO KISS SCHOOLGIRL IN BRIGHTONS
In April 2018, Keith Seaman, aged 61, faced serious allegations related to inappropriate conduct involving a minor in Falkirk.The court heard that Seaman had engaged in a series of troubling actions towards a 15-year-old girl, which included sending her sexual text messages and attempting to kiss her on multiple occasions.
The incidents took place over a span of several months, with the sexual messages being sent between November 1 and December 15, 2017.
Additionally, Seaman's attempt to physically assault the girl by trying to kiss her occurred at his residence on Inglis Place, Brightons, within the period from September 1 to December 15 of the previous year.
During the proceedings at Falkirk Sheriff Court, it was revealed that Seaman had pleaded guilty to all charges on the day of his trial, demonstrating remorse or acceptance of his actions.
Sheriff Derek Livingston described Seaman’s conduct as “very akin to grooming,” emphasizing the criminal nature and the inappropriateness of his behavior.
The court’s decision reflected the seriousness of the offenses, and Seaman was sentenced to a supervised community payback order for a duration of three years.
As part of his sentence, Seaman was also mandated to complete 170 hours of unpaid work within six months.
Furthermore, he was placed on the sex offender’s register for a period of three years, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions related to his conduct.
