MARK JACOBSON FROM BOOTLE SENTENCED IN LIVERPOOL TO 16 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES
Mark Jacobson, 44, of Washington Parade, Bootle, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison after being convicted of 16 serious child sex offences.
These charges include two counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape, multiple counts of sexual activity with a child, forcing a child to watch sexual acts, and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
In addition to his prison term, he was ordered to sign the sex offenders' register, and a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) was made indefinite.
He was also served with a restraining order and a sex offender notification requirement.
Detective Constable Lucy Emmett commented, "Jacobson is a dangerous individual and he will now spend a significant amount of time behind bars where he can no longer pose a risk to children." Merseyside Police emphasized their commitment to protecting children from sexual exploitation and harm, urging anyone who has been a victim of child abuse or suspects a child is being abused to contact the police immediately for confidential reporting.
Alternatively, victims of sexual offences who are brave enough to come forward can expect their reports to be taken very seriously and thoroughly investigated.
