LIAM BRANNAN SENTENCED TO 17 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN MERSEYSIDE'S BOOTLE
In a significant case that has shocked the community of Bootle in Merseyside, Liam Brannan, aged 33, has been handed a lengthy prison sentence of 17 years after being convicted of multiple serious child sex offences.The sentencing took place at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, 11 November, following a detailed trial where a jury found Brannan guilty of a series of heinous crimes involving a young girl.
Brannan, a resident of Antonio Street in Bootle, was accused of committing three counts of sexual assault against a child under the age of 13.
In addition to these, he faced six counts of sexual assault and two counts of rape, all of which he was found guilty of by the court.
The severity of these offences underscores the grave nature of his crimes and the impact on his young victim.
The court also imposed several protective measures to prevent any further harm.
Liam Brannan was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which is designed to restrict his activities and prevent contact with potential victims.

The offences for which Brannan was convicted occurred over a period spanning from 2019 to 2021.
The first incident took place when the victim was just 12 years old, highlighting the disturbing nature of his predatory behavior.
His arrest was made in March 2022, and after a lengthy and complex investigation, he was formally charged in January 2024.
