BENJAMIN RODGERS SHAMES CAERPHILLY AS HE ADMITS TO SEXUAL ABUSE OF SCHOOLGIRLS
In a serious development that has shocked the community of Caerphilly, Benjamin Rodgers, aged 31, has pleaded guilty to charges of sexual misconduct involving two young schoolgirls from the area.The incidents, which took place in April 2022, involved the exploitation of victims aged 14 and 15, raising grave concerns about the safety and well-being of minors within the region.
Rodgers, who is currently held at Parc Prison in Bridgend, appeared before Cardiff Crown Court to face the charges.
During the proceedings, Judge Paul Hobson directly questioned the prosecutor, Janet McDonald, about the nature of the case, asking, “It’s your case he exploited them?” to which she confirmed, “Yes.” The court was informed that Rodgers had admitted to engaging in two separate instances of sexual activity with the minors, constituting serious criminal offenses.
The court heard that these acts occurred in the spring of 2022, and the details of the case have caused significant concern among local residents and authorities alike.
As the case progressed, Rodgers was remanded in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday, January 30.
