XANDER ABRAHAM CAERPHILLY PAEDOPHILE SENTENCED FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES AND EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY
In August 2021, a disturbing case emerged involving Xander Abraham, a 19-year-old resident of Caerphilly, who was found to possess and download highly illegal and disturbing images and videos depicting child abuse. The investigation revealed that Abraham had accessed and stored material that included a newborn baby being subjected to sexual abuse, alongside other images of children around eight years old.
The severity of the content was underscored by the discovery of extreme pornography involving a woman performing sexual acts on a horse, which was also found on his devices.
According to prosecutor Lucy Crowther, authorities executed a search warrant at Abraham’s home in the autumn of 2019, when he was just 17 years old.
The police raid uncovered the illicit material stored across two mobile phones and a laptop.
During questioning, Abraham initially denied possessing any illegal images, claiming that he had merely clicked on a link that supposedly triggered a virus.
However, he later admitted to being sexually aroused by the child abuse images, confirming his involvement with the material.
Miss Crowther detailed that among the images found, one depicted a newborn baby being abused, while others showed children approximately eight years old.
The court was informed that Abraham possessed a total of four Category A images, seven Category B images, and 172 Category C images, along with the extreme pornography.
Despite the gravity of the charges, Abraham, who resides at Tan y Bryn, Senghenydd, was described by his legal representative, Owen Williams, as a man of previously good character with no prior convictions.
During the sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court, Recorder Greg Bull QC emphasized the seriousness of the offences, stating, “You have been convicted of serious offences.
They involve real children being abused.” The judge sentenced Abraham to a three-year community order, which includes a requirement to participate in a 30-day rehabilitation activity.
Additionally, he was ordered to pay costs of £420 and a victim surcharge.
Furthermore, Abraham is mandated to register as a sex offender for a period of five years.
He was also placed under a sexual harm prevention order that will remain in effect until 2026.
The court ordered the confiscation and destruction of the two mobile phones and the laptop used to store the illegal material.
As Abraham left the dock, the judge issued a stern warning, saying, “Don’t come before me again or you will be going down the wooden steps behind you if you do.”
