DAVID HILL AND SHOCKING CHILD SEXUAL INFLUENCE IN LONDON
A man from Orpington, David Hill, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of serious charges related to the grooming and incitement of minors for sexual activities. The 25-year-old was sentenced on Monday, March 2, to a total of 19 months behind bars following his guilty pleas to multiple counts of incitement to engage a child in sexual activity, as well as witness intimidation.
In addition to his jail sentence, Hill is mandated to register as a sex offender for a duration of seven years.
His criminal actions came to light after police investigations uncovered a series of disturbing messages sent to young girls via social media platforms.
On October 1 of the previous year, authorities received reports that Hill, operating under the alias Kemz, had been sending highly sexually explicit messages to girls aged 14 and 15.
These communications were conducted through Facebook, where he used the pseudonym Realke Mzme.
The disturbing pattern of contact was ultimately traced back to Hill, who lacked a fixed residence at the time.
His willingness to meet with his victims culminated in an encounter with a 15-year-old girl aboard a train in Orpington.
Following this, Hill arranged to meet her again at Bickley train station.
Accompanying her was her 14-year-old friend, but the girls felt uncomfortable during the meeting and decided to leave, returning home instead.
Despite their withdrawal, Hill continued to harass the victims through desperate texts, expressing his desire to have sexual relations with the 15-year-old and subsequently sending sexually explicit messages to the 14-year-old girl.
His criminal behavior escalated further when he resorted to threats, targeting both girls after he received no response to his messages.
Hill’s actions did not stop there.
On October 10, he was arrested at Bromley police station after answering his bail related to an earlier assault and affray incident in Canterbury.
During police interviews, Hill denied any wrongdoing, claiming that a friend had accessed his Facebook account and sent the messages without his knowledge.
However, this defense was not sufficient to prevent his criminal charges from progressing.
Adding to his charges, Hill was accused of witness intimidation after allegations surfaced that he had sent sexually graphic messages to another 14-year-old girl.
When Hill learned that the case had been reported to police, he allegedly threatened the girl and her parents in an apparent attempt to discourage them from cooperating with law enforcement.
Detective Constable James Coldham from Bromley CID commented on the case, emphasizing the gravity of Hill’s conduct.
He said, “Hill targeted the young girls in this case by sending them vile and sexually explicit messages and then resorted to threats of violence when he was rebuffed.
We would urge parents and guardians to teach their children to be very cautious about whom they communicate with online.
Above all, ensure they understand that it is safe to come to a trusted adult if they feel threatened or uncomfortable about anything they have seen or experienced on social media.” In addition to the main convictions, Hill received a separate sentence of 12 weeks’ imprisonment at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on February 26 after pleading guilty to harassment.
This was related to messages of a sexual nature he sent to his former girlfriend, a 23-year-old woman, through a Facebook account he created under the pseudonym Steven Harris.
This case highlights the serious risks associated with online interactions and the importance of vigilance by parents and young people alike in safeguarding against such predatory behaviors.
