DUNDEE MAN SENTENCED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND VIOLENCE
A man named Colin Simpson, aged 24, who was previously jailed for 13 months last week, has been sentenced to an additional prison term.
Simpson appeared again at Dundee Sheriff Court on three charges and was sentenced to a further 38 days, which was reduced from 150 days due to the time he had already spent in custody.
This sentence is to run consecutively to his existing sentence.
Simpson admitted to assaulting his former partner, Hollie Cumming, by butting her on the head, pouring a drink over her, punching her multiple times on the head, attempting to hit her with a child's car seat, and spitting on her head, all causing her injury at South Road on October 16, 2016.
He also acknowledged behavior that included threatening or abusing her in a manner likely to cause fear or alarm, entering her house uninvited, damaging bathroom doors, shouting, swearing, and making false accusations to social workers that Ms Cumming was intoxicated and unable to care for her children at the same location and date.
Additionally, Simpson admitted to threatening property damage, repeatedly striking a window with excessive force, shouting, swearing, uttering threats of violence, and making threats to damage property and to uninvitedly enter a property on Dens Road on October 27, 2016.
