VOYEUR ‘TIPTOED’ TO OLYMPIA CHANGING ROOMS CUBICLE NEXT TO WOMAN, WHO SAW HIS PHONE AS SHE UNDRESSED
Craig Ellingford, aged 44, is now listed on the sex offenders register after admitting to voyeurism at Dundee’s Olympia swimming and leisure centre.
He was caught sneaking his mobile phone under a shower cubicle while a woman was getting undressed.
The incident took place on March 26 of this year.
CCTV footage captured him walking carefully towards the cubicle after he saw the woman inside.
The victim appeared shaken, upset, and tearful when she discovered Ellingford holding his phone and trying to take a picture.
Ellingford was identified through CCTV, arrested, and admitted to the voyeurism charge.
The sheriff sentenced him to 165 hours of unpaid work, placed him under nine months of supervision with conduct requirements, and highlighted the "degree of planning" involved in the offence.
Additionally, Ellingford will be subject to sex offender notification obligations for nine months.
