COLIN MOORE CONVICTED OF SEXUAL OFFENCES IN LONDON
A man identified as Colin Moore has been found guilty of multiple serious sexual offences committed against a teenage girl in London. The conviction follows a detailed trial held at Isleworth Crown Court, which concluded on Friday, 24 May.
Moore, aged 57 and residing on Grove Lane in Southwark, was convicted of four counts of rape and five counts of indecent assault.
He is currently remanded in custody and will face sentencing at the same court on 9 September 2024.
According to court proceedings, Moore exploited a young girl who was under the age of 16 when the abuse began in 1995.
Over the course of the next four years, the misconduct took place at various locations across west and central London, including areas in Southwark and other parts of the city.
The court heard how Moore’s actions inflicted significant harm on the victim, who, by the time she reported the abuse, had become an adult.
The victim demonstrated remarkable courage by coming forward to police in 2020, sharing her traumatic experiences after years of silence.
Her decision to speak out led to Moore’s arrest and subsequent charges for multiple offences.
The case highlights the importance of bravery in confronting past abuse and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to bring offenders to justice in London.
