Christopher Jenkins

Swansea Sexual Abuser

October 2015 Tivoli deputy manager found with footage of kids at arcade after indecent images arrest FORMER deputy manager at the Tivoli in Mumbles Christopher Jenkins was found to have filmed children bending over on the premises, after being arrested for possession of indecent images. Jenkins, of St James’ Gardens in Uplands, was also found to have repeatedly texted a 15-year-old boy, in which he referred to him as ‘babe’, and ‘baby’. The 43-year-old was deputy manager of the former amusement arcade, which closed a year ago. He was arrested after a colleague, who considered Jenkins ‘had an unhealthy interest in children’ frequenting the venue, accessed his phone and found the messages. Police were notified and attended his address, where they found a number of mobile phones and a computer tower which, following analysis, was found to contain six indecent images in category A, the most serious category of exploitation, 33 in category B, and 66 in category C. Jenkins pleaded guilty to three charges of possession of indecent images of children when he appeared at Swansea Crown Court. Prosecuting, Ian Wright said Jenkins had maintained a false Facebook page, under the name David Williams, with a profile picture of two teenage boys. Jenkins had also claimed that the PC tower did not work, but emails were found to have been sent from the computer to a list of addresses found on a handwritten list in his property. Searches with names such as ‘boy webcam’ and ‘young gay boys’ were also found to have been made on the equipment. And although unrelated to the charges, Mr Wright added: “Fourteen videos of children bending over at the arcade were found on some of the devices.” Representing Jenkins, Jonathan Tarrant asked Judge Huw Davies to consider the contents of a pre-sentence report, which revealed details of Jenkins’s past. Judge Davies sentenced Jenkins to a three-year community order, with a community group work programme requirement. Jenkins was also made subject to the sex offenders’ register for five years October 2015 Former Mumbles Arcade Manager Admits Possessing Indecent Photos of boys A judge at Swansea crown court has heard how a paedophile had an unhealthy interest in young boys. A judge at Swansea crown court has heard today that the former deputy manager of the Tivoli amusement arcade in Mumbles had an unhealthy interest in young boys. 42 year old Christopher Jenkins admitted possessing dozens of indecent images which he stored on mobile telephones and a computer. John Hipkin, the prosecuting barrister, said an employee at the arcade looked at Jenkins’ mobile telephone and found he had been accessing internet porn sites, including child abuse sites. A search by police at Jenkins’ home in St James Gardens in the Uplands uncovered the images, some of which were in the most serious category A. The court heard that Jenkins had also taken photographs of boys visiting the amusement arcade. Jenkins was made the subject of a three year community order and told to attend group therapy sessions.
