Stuart Milne

Dundee Sexual Abuser

July 2014 Boys Brigade leader jailed for two years after taking part in sick on-line sex chats with a primary school girl A BOYS’ Brigade leader who held sick online sex chats with a primary school girl was jailed for two years yesterday. Stuart Milne, 25, was arrested in front of his troop after evidence of his Skype sessions with the 12-year-old were uncovered. Police were called in last July after the girl’s parents found indecent images on her tablet computer and discovered she had been taking part in online sex chats from the age of 11. She had even sent pictures of herself naked and carrying out sex acts. Police found she had also received pictures from a man on her Skype contact list, which led them to Milne. The Tesco delivery driver, who was single and living with his parents in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, was on a BB camping trip at the time and was arrested in a field in Argyll and Bute. Milne admitted taking part in sex chats and sending and receiving images from the girl for 10 months. He pled guilty to two charges under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act. Dundee sheriff Elizabeth Munro jailed Milne for two years and imposed two years’ supervision upon his release. He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely. May 2014 Boy’s Brigade leader admits having sex chats with 12-year-old girl A Boy’s Brigade leader admitted taking part in online sex chats with a 12-year-old girl. Stuart Milne was detained by police in a field in Argyll and Bute while on a camping trip with his troop after the girl’s parents found evidence of the conversations, held over Skype. Police were called in in July 2013 after the parents of the primary school pupil found “indecent” images on her tablet computer. They found she had been taking part in online sex chats from the age of 11 and had sent pictures of herself naked and carrying out sex acts. A forensic examination of her devices found she had also received pictures from a man on her Skype contact list. That led officers to Milne, who now faces jail after admitting taking part in sex chats and sending and receiving images from her over a ten-month period. Fiscal depute Susan Ruta told the court: “The accused is single, resides with his parents and works for Tesco as a delivery driver. “He and his father were at the time leaders in the Boy’s Brigade. “The complainer is a girl who was at the time in primary school. She had various electronic devices used to access the internet which she did in her room. “On July 18 last year the complainer’s parents discovered obscene images on her tablet. Police were contacted and various items were seized. “A forensic examination revealed the complainer had been engaging in sexualised chat using Skype. Indecent images of the complainer were also found. Her contact list was interrogated and the accused was identified. “A search warrant was granted for the accused’s home and it was established that he was on a camping trip with the Boy’s Brigade in Argyll and Bute. Due to concerns about this contact, arrangements were put in place to have him detained by Strathclyde officers. “His phone was examined along with his computer. Skype messages from the complainer were found. The female was the complainer. “There were conversations between them taking place from October 2012 until June 2013 as well as video or voice calls logged.” Milne, 25, of Boysack Gardens, Broughty Ferry, Dundee, pleaded guilty on indictment to two charges under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act. William Boyle, defending, said: “It’s fairly clear that reports will be required in any event in this case.” Sheriff George Way deferred sentence until next month for social work background reports. He released Milne on bail ahead of sentencing and placed him on the sex offenders register in the meantime.
