STEVEN GRIFFIN FROM DUNDEE CITY BUSTED FOR SEXUAL ABUSE AND REGISTRATION BREACH
Steven Griffin, a resident of Dundee City, remains embroiled in a serious ongoing legal case concerning allegations of child sexual abuse.He is accused of abusing a young victim over a period of six years, with only one individual coming forward to report the abuse.
The victim demonstrated remarkable courage in revealing the details of the abuse, which was perpetrated by Griffin alongside his brother, Christopher Griffin.
This case is still active, and investigations continue to uncover the full extent of the allegations.
In addition to the abuse allegations, Steven Griffin faced legal repercussions for failing to adhere to his obligations as a registered sex offender.
Griffin, who is listed on the Sex Offenders Register, admitted to police that between June 2019 and February 2021, he did not notify authorities of his change of address within the required seven-day window.
His address at the time was Elders Court in Dundee’s Lochee area.
During a court hearing at Dundee Sheriff Court, Sheriff Paul Brown addressed Griffin directly, emphasizing the gravity of his breach.
The sheriff stated, “It’s a serious matter.
You’ve crossed the threshold for custody.
You have to be careful going forward.” Recognizing the nature of the breach, Sheriff Brown opted for an alternative to imprisonment.
Griffin was placed under a restriction of liberty order, which mandated that he remain confined to his home between 7pm and 7am for a period of seven months.
Additionally, he was placed under supervision for a full year, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his compliance and behavior.

In a related and disturbing development, Steven Griffin was also convicted of possessing child pornography.
The police raided his home in Downfield, Dundee, last October after receiving intelligence about his activities.
During the raid, officers examined four of Griffin’s computers, uncovering folders filled with videos and images depicting child abuse.
One particularly disturbing video showed a man raping a girl estimated to be around five years old.
Griffin, who was involved in voluntary work with children at the Elim Pentecostal Church in Dundee, admitted to possessing child pornography.
His defense lawyer, George Donnelly, explained that Griffin’s interest in such material was driven by “morbid curiosity.” Donnelly stated, “He looked for it deliberately – it wasn’t an accident and he didn’t just stumble upon it.” Following his guilty plea, Griffin was sentenced to two years in prison.
During his arrest, Griffin reportedly told officers, “I'm quite proud of myself – I’ve been expecting a visit from you guys,” indicating a disturbing attitude towards his actions.
