SIMON WILLARD FROM HULL FACES SERIOUS CHARGES AND FINES OVER CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES
In December 2016, Simon Willard, a 43-year-old resident of Barham Road in east Hull, was subjected to a series of legal penalties following his involvement in multiple serious offenses related to indecent images and extreme pornography. The court found him guilty of creating and possessing illegal content involving minors and extreme sexual material.
Willard was ordered to pay a fine of £20 as part of his punishment.
Additionally, he was placed under a two-year supervision order, which requires him to adhere to certain conditions and be monitored by authorities during this period.
His sentencing also included the imposition of a sexual harm prevention order, which will remain in effect for five years.
This order is designed to restrict his access to certain materials and prevent further offenses related to sexual harm.
The charges against Willard encompassed several serious allegations.
He was found guilty of making an indecent pseudo photograph of a child, which involves creating an image that appears to depict a minor in a sexual context.
Furthermore, he was convicted of two separate counts of making indecent photographs of a child, highlighting a pattern of offending behavior.
The court also determined that he possessed a prohibited image of a child, which is illegal under current legislation.
In addition, Willard was found to be in possession of an extreme pornographic image depicting a person engaging in sexual activity with a dog, a category of material that is both illegal and considered highly disturbing.
As part of his sentencing, Willard was ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a surcharge of £60.
These financial penalties are intended to cover the administrative costs associated with his case and serve as a further deterrent against such offenses.
The case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement and judicial authorities to combat the distribution and possession of illegal and harmful images, especially those involving minors and extreme content, within the Hull community and beyond.
