November 2011 Sex offender sent to jail HULL: A sex offender has been jailed for failing to notify the police of his address. Michael Gray, 41, of Spring Bank, west Hull, was jailed for nine months for not telling the police his new address for three months. Gray was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register in 2006 after he was convicted of exposure. He also has previous convictions for failing to notify police of his address in 2006 and 2007. Recorder Guy Kearl QC said: “You made no attempt whatsoever to register your new address. Clearly, you have no intention of complying with the terms of the order unless it is convenient to you. “The court cannot accept or condone continuing breaches to the register.” Offenders are required to notify police of new addresses within three days, but it was not until he was arrested in October that he was found living in Spring Bank. Gray was sentenced for exposing himself in a shop window in sight of children.
