Hull Sexual Abuser

September 2020 Five years for sick Hull DJ who tried to meet girl, 8, for sex A Hull DJ who tried to meet an eight-year-old girl for sex has been jailed for more than five years. Dad-of-two Simon Mewse, 36, who is also known as DJ Vinylizer, contacted the girl to meet her to sate his own “twisted pleasure” in a village near Selby. However, little did he known that he was speaking to undercover police. One of the officers, posing as the girl’s uncle, offered to meet the 36-year-old disc jockey so Mewse could have sex with the decoy’s “niece”. Mewse, who had been chatting to the officers on two messenger services including the KIK app, drove out to a nature reserve two hours from his home for the sex hook-up, not realising he was walking into a trap Mewse, of Cowslip Chase, Kirk Ella, appeared at York Crown Court for sentencing. He previously admitted two counts of attempting to meet the girl to commit a sexual offence, distributing indecent images of children and possessing cannabis. The court heard the “uncle” said he would bring a van with a mattress in the back and Mewse told him he was looking forward to having sex with the girl. The meeting was arranged for 10am on July 10 and Mewse turned up in a Vauxhall Corsa, inside which was a pack of condoms, a bag of cannabis and reportedly a tent. He was met by police officers who arrested him. Mewse sent the decoy officer a flurry of indecent images, including videos of extremely young children being subjected to the worst kind of sexual abuse. Another undercover cop was also speaking to Mewse online, posing as a dad-of-two who also had similar paedophile fantasies. Mewse also sent him indecent images. He had arranged to meet the girl for sex between July 2 and 11 this year, as well as attempting to arrange to commit a child sex offence between June 30 and July 10. Mewse also pleaded guilty to distributing or showing indecent images of children, including eight images or videos rated Category A – the most serious. He was caught with the cannabis in the Selby area on July 10 and admitted possessing a Class B drug. Mewse was also made subject to an extended two-year period on licence, placed on the sex offenders’ register for life and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order for life.
