DUNDEE TAXI DRIVER JAILED FOR CHILDHOOD SEXUAL ABUSE
Scott Cuthill, a 60-year-old former taxi driver and previously convicted drug dealer, has been found guilty in a Dundee sheriff court of multiple serious sexual offences involving young girls and a woman.Jurors unanimously convicted Cuthill of abusing a girl of early primary school age on an occasion between May 2012 and May 2014, and of similar abuse on a second girl between April 2020 and June 2022.
Additionally, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a woman in June 2022 at a hotel in Dundee.
The offences are described as a 'gross breach of trust' by the court.
Cuthill has a history of criminal activity, including a previous sentence of 22 months in prison for dealing drugs worth over £5,000 and possession of a stun gun.
Police also seized cash and a PAVA spray from his home during a raid in August 2019.
During the trial, Cuthill denied all allegations, but the jury found him guilty.
Sheriff Tim Niven-Smith indicated that custody was inevitable given the charges and the breach of trust, and noted the importance of a risk assessment, especially concerning young girls under 13.
Cuthill showed no emotion during the verdict and remains on the sex offenders' register, with sentencing scheduled for the following month after reports are prepared.

Another victim was left so traumatised she told how she wanted to die.
The shameless brute denied everything, but jurors at Dundee Sheriff Court saw through his lies and branded him guilty of the sick crimes.
Sheriff Tim Niven-Smith blasted Cuthill, calling his abuse “sickening” and a “gross breach of trust.” He said the predator had destroyed the lives of vulnerable victims, adding: “You’ve shown no remorse and accept no responsibility.” The court heard Cuthill’s reign of abuse ran from 2012 to 2022, even while he was on bail for other offences.
He also attacked a woman in a Dundee hotel just weeks before being jailed for drugs and firearms charges.
Despite having a long criminal past, Cuthill insisted he was innocent and tried to blame booze for memory loss.
The fiend, who most recently lived in Aberdeen, was also slapped on the sex offenders register for life and banned from contacting his victims for ten years.
He showed no emotion as he was led away to start his sentence.
