RONNIE CLARK OF DUNDEE NAMED IN SHOCK ABUSE CASE INVOLVING TWO PARTNERS
A well-known professional boxer has been placed in custody following serious allegations of long-term abuse against two women, spanning over a decade. The case was brought before Dundee Sheriff Court, where it was revealed that Ronnie Clark, aged 38, is accused of a series of violent and coercive acts directed at his partners over a period of 17 years.
According to court proceedings, Clark is alleged to have assaulted a woman in 2006 by grabbing her by the neck and forcefully pinning her against a wall.
These disturbing claims form part of a broader pattern of misconduct, as Clark is also accused of engaging in disruptive and disorderly behavior at various times and locations between 2006 and 2012.
The court heard that his conduct was not isolated but part of a coercive course of conduct aimed at controlling his partners.
The allegations against Clark extend to a second woman, with incidents reportedly occurring between 2017 and 2023.
At a property in Dundee, he is accused of physically attacking her by grabbing her by the neck and applying pressure to restrict her breathing.
Further allegations state that Clark repeatedly headbutted her, with one incident allegedly rendering her unconscious.
In a particularly alarming incident, he is said to have wrapped a seatbelt around her neck and pulled it while she was driving, endangering her life and causing severe injuries that left her with permanent disfigurement.
The court also heard that Clark subjected this woman to a campaign of ongoing abuse, characterized by controlling and coercive behavior.
These actions are said to have inflicted not only physical harm but also significant emotional and psychological trauma.
Ronnie Clark, who has no fixed address, did not enter a plea during his court appearance.
He was remanded in custody by Sheriff George Way following a private hearing.
Clark, often referred to by his nickname ‘The Shark,’ has a professional boxing record that includes 31 fights, with 21 wins, eight losses, and two draws.
His most recent bout was a defeat to Craig Woodruff in Cardiff in March 2022, which marked his fourth consecutive loss in the ring.
These allegations cast a shadow over Clark’s career and raise serious questions about his conduct both inside and outside the boxing ring.
The case continues to develop as authorities investigate further details surrounding these disturbing accusations.
