PHILIP LYNCH FROM DUNDEE PLACED ON SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER AFTER INDECENT IMAGES CASE
In a case that has drawn significant attention in Dundee, Philip Lynch, a 61-year-old man, was involved in serious allegations concerning the creation, possession, and distribution of indecent images involving children. The incidents reportedly took place at his residence on Balunie Street during the year 2021.
According to court records, Lynch was found to have taken or made indecent photographs of minors at some point between January 21 and September 14 of that year.
He also retained these images until September 15 and was involved in distributing them over a period stretching from February 2 to September 14.
Despite the gravity of these allegations, Lynch was not formally convicted of the offences in a court of law.
However, after a detailed examination of the facts surrounding the case, Sheriff Paul Brown determined, on the balance of probabilities, that there were no grounds to acquit Lynch.
This type of hearing is typically held when a defendant is considered unfit to stand trial, often due to health or mental health issues.
It was noted that Lynch did not attend the hearing held at Forfar Sheriff Court.
His legal representative explained that Lynch, who is reported to be unwell, no longer has access to any devices connected to the internet.
The lawyer further stated that Lynch is being cared for
