April 2010 Child abuse pervert jailed A SEX offender who abused three little girls has been jailed for seven years at Manchester Crown Court. Landscape gardener Peter Ogden, 55, was told by a judge he had caused ‘stress, anxiety, shame, confusion, hurt and humiliation’ to the victims by forcing them to go through the ordeal of a trial. Judge Elliot Knopf said he now hoped they and their families, some of whom were in court, could now ‘draw a line’ under the tragic events. Ogden, a man of previous good character of Shawclough, Rochdale, had been convicted at an earlier hearing of 10 offences of sexual abuse against the girls. The offences occurred over five years when they were under 10.
