PAWEL STEFANOWSKI CAUGHT WITH CHILD ABUSE VIDEOS IN DUNDEE HOME
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Dundee, 31-year-old Pawel Stefanowski has admitted to possessing a significant collection of child abuse videos on his personal computer.The incident came to light in September when police executed a search warrant at his residence on Fullarton Street.
During the raid, law enforcement officers uncovered nearly 60 hours of illicit videos depicting children as young as nine years old.
In addition to the videos, investigators seized multiple electronic devices, including two laptops and three external hard drives, which contained numerous files of a highly disturbing nature.
The investigation revealed that Stefanowski was actively involved in the creation and distribution of these illegal images.
He confessed to the court that between January 22 and September 8 of the previous year, he either took or allowed the taking of indecent photographs and pseudo-photographs of children at his Dundee address.
Furthermore, he admitted to distributing or showing such images to others, actions that significantly compound the severity of his offenses.
Details of the case were presented to Dundee Sheriff Court by fiscal depute Trina Sinclair, who outlined the extent of the evidence collected.
The court heard that Stefanowski's actions involved not only possession but also the dissemination of these illicit materials, raising serious concerns about his involvement in child exploitation.
In light of the evidence, Sheriff Elizabeth Munro decided to defer sentencing Stefanowski until July 31, allowing for further legal proceedings or considerations.
The case remains a stark reminder of the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat child abuse and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable children from exploitation.
