NORMAN WINDUSS AND HIS SHOCKING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CRIMES IN HULL

A man from Hull, Norman Winduss, has been publicly warned that he is now considered a 'marked man' due to his disturbing and perverted conduct involving child pornography.

Winduss, aged 34 and residing on Boothferry Road in Hull, has a troubling criminal record that includes two incidents where he was caught with repulsive images of children, leading to significant legal repercussions.

Despite facing serious charges, Winduss narrowly escaped immediate imprisonment but his subsequent actions demonstrated ongoing dangerous behaviour.

During an incident at Hull Crown Court, he assaulted a police officer and was found to be carrying a spring-lock knife, which classifies as an offensive weapon.

These actions further compounded his legal issues and showed a blatant disregard for authorities.

Initially, Winduss denied six counts of making indecent images of children, as well as a charge of possessing an extreme pornographic material.

However, after a jury trial, he was convicted on all counts, with the evidence against him deemed irrefutable by the court.

Recorder Anthony Hawks detailed that police visited Winduss's residence in January 2020 and discovered indecent images of children, including the most serious Category A images, embedded within his devices.

Further investigations led to a second search in December 2020, after authorities found that Winduss had access to a second phone.

During this second raid, authorities uncovered an even larger collection of Category A images, indicating an escalation in his offending behaviour.

The court was informed that the quantity and severity of these images highlighted a disturbing pattern.

Despite the overwhelming evidence, Winduss chose to contest his guilt initially, insisting on a jury trial—a decision described as unfortunate by the court.

Recorder Hawks pointed out that the conviction was based on 'the plainest possible evidence,' emphasizing the strength of the case against him.

The court also reviewed Winduss's conduct beyond the possession of illegal images.

In June of this year, police searched his home again.

During this visit, officers found him in possession of a dangerous, spring-lock knife, which he had no lawful reason to possess.

His behaviour during the search was aggressive; he became confrontational and physically assaulted a police officer who was simply performing his lawful duties.

The judge condemned Winduss’s aggressive behaviour, underscoring that police officers have the right to carry out searches and other lawful duties without interference or assault.

It was also noted that Winduss had prior encounters with law enforcement, suggesting a pattern of misconduct.

While these failures to comply and aggressive acts are deeply troubling, the court acknowledged some cautious optimism.

Probation officers reportedly believe that Winduss may be beginning to understand the gravity of his perverted actions, and there is some hope that he can be managed safely within the community.

Nevertheless, Recorder Hawks issued a stern warning, stating, "You are now a marked man.

If you commit any similar offences again, you face substantial prison time." The verdict serves as a clear message that such behaviour will not be tolerated and that severe consequences await repeat offenders in Hull.
