MICHAEL FROST FROM CAMBRIDGE JAILED FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES INVOLVING UNDERAGE BOY
In a recent case that has shocked the community of Cambridge, Michael Frost, aged 69, has been sentenced to a year in prison following his conviction for attempting to engage in sexual activities with a minor. The incident unfolded after Frost initiated contact with an individual he believed to be a 14-year-old boy, but who was actually an undercover police officer.
Frost’s criminal history includes a prior conviction from 2017, when he was found guilty of attempting to meet a boy under the age of 16.
As part of his sentence then, he was subjected to a five-year sexual harm prevention order and was required to register as a sex offender for five years.
Despite these restrictions, Frost’s predatory behavior persisted.
The latest incident occurred on June 25, 2019, when Frost began communicating online with the undercover officer.
During their exchanges, Frost openly admitted that both he and the ‘boy’ were engaging in illegal activities.
He repeatedly requested indecent images of the minor and sent inappropriate photographs of himself, further demonstrating his intent.
Throughout their conversations, Frost maintained sexually explicit dialogue with the officer posing as a minor.
A week after initial contact, he proposed to meet in person, even offering to pay for a hotel room to facilitate the encounter.
This blatant attempt to meet a minor for sexual purposes led to his swift arrest.
Frost was apprehended at his residence on Bradmore Street, Cambridge, on August 5, 2019.
During the police raid, officers discovered a small cannabis cultivation setup at his home, adding another charge to his case.
At Cambridge Crown Court on September 23, Frost pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child, attempting to incite a boy aged 13-15 to engage in sexual activity, and allowing the production of cannabis.
The court sentenced him to a year in prison and imposed a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
Additionally, Frost was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years, reflecting the severity of his offenses and the ongoing risk he poses to the community.
