KEVIN KIRK FROM HULL ON THE RUN AFTER MULTIPLE SEX OFFENDER BREACHES AND KNIFE INCIDENT
In February 2017, authorities issued a nationwide alert for Kevin Kirk, a convicted sex offender from Hull, who is currently evading law enforcement after breaching his legal obligations and being involved in a serious incident involving a large knife.Kevin Kirk, aged 49 at the time, was previously convicted of sexually assaulting a young girl under the age of 13.
His initial conviction in 2013 led to a two-month prison sentence, which was suspended.
Despite this, Kirk was subject to a strict seven-year sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), requiring him to notify police of any change of address and to register as a sex offender.
However, he repeatedly failed to comply with these conditions, leading to multiple breaches and subsequent imprisonment.
His first breach occurred in January 2014, resulting in a four-month jail term.
Over the following years, Kirk continued to violate the terms of his SHPO, with breaches in 2014, 2015, and 2016, each time receiving additional prison sentences ranging from six to eighteen months.
His persistent non-compliance demonstrated a clear pattern of disregard for the legal restrictions imposed upon him.
Most recently, in December of the previous year, Kirk failed to notify police of his address, prompting authorities to take action.
During his latest court appearance, he appeared via video link from prison, where he displayed disruptive behavior, swearing and interrupting proceedings.
Judge Simon Jack warned Kirk that if he continued his misconduct, he would be removed from the hearing.
Despite the warning, Kirk persisted in his outbursts, culminating in him calling the judge a “f****ng c**t” as he was led out of the virtual courtroom.
The hearing then proceeded in his absence.
Judge Jack sentenced Kirk to 18 months in prison for his latest breach, emphasizing the seriousness of his repeated violations.
The judge stated, “This is the fifth breach of a sexual harm prevention order.
He is determined not to accept his conviction.
Unfortunately, that is causing him to keep coming into contact with the law and he will have to pay the penalty for that.” In addition to his legal troubles related to breaches of the SHPO, Kevin Kirk is also wanted by Humberside Police for a separate incident involving a breach of his license conditions.
The police have issued a public appeal, describing Kirk as being on the run after breaching his license terms following his release from prison.
He was initially jailed for two months in 2013 for sexually assaulting a child, and later received an 18-month sentence after breaching his license by failing to register his address on three occasions.
In November of the previous year, Kirk was arrested for breaching his license again, during which he was found in possession of a large knife.
He admitted ownership of the weapon, stating he had owned it since 2011, and claimed it was for self-defense.
He was subsequently sentenced to an additional eight months for possession of a knife.
Kevin Kirk has been known to frequent east Hull and has refused to comply with the requirement to register as a sex offender, citing his denial of his conviction.
Law enforcement officials have been unable to locate him despite multiple address searches and are now appealing to the public for assistance.
Officers have urged anyone with information about his whereabouts not to approach him but to contact police directly.
They have also called on Kirk himself to surrender voluntarily.
Humberside Police have not disclosed the specific details of the latest breach but continue their efforts to apprehend Kirk.
Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to call 101, quoting log number 88 of Tuesday, January 10, to aid in his swift arrest and ensure public safety.
