IRENE TORRIE'S SHOCKING SEX OFFENSES IN DUNDEE: A SERIAL OFFENDER'S REIGN OF TERROR
In August 2022, a disturbing incident unfolded in Dundee involving Irene Torrie, a woman with a troubling history of sexual misconduct.Torrie, aged 42, was involved in a series of alarming behaviors that culminated in her sexually assaulting a male taxi driver and exposing herself in a manner that left the victim shocked and distressed.
According to reports, Torrie unexpectedly entered the front seat of a taxi driven by the male driver.
Without warning, she proceeded to strip off her shorts, revealing herself to the driver in a blatant act of indecency.
The situation escalated further when she forcibly touched the driver’s chest, thighs, and buttocks, actions that left him visibly shaken and uncomfortable.
During this ordeal, Torrie also made explicit remarks, claiming she had a condom with her and suggesting she was willing to pay the driver for sex if he agreed to come into her house.
Her actions did not stop there.
Torrie’s history of sexual misconduct is well-documented, as she has previous convictions for similar offenses.
She has been convicted of rubbing her body against a train conductor and performing a sex act in front of police officers.
As a result of her latest offenses, she was placed on the Sex Offenders Register, marking her as a known risk to the community.
During her court appearance at Dundee Sheriff Court, Sheriff Paul Brown questioned whether Torrie could be considered for the Tay Project, a rehabilitation scheme designed for sex offenders.
Torrie admitted to sexually assaulting the taxi driver on various roads within Dundee on May 29, 2020.
Her admitted actions included touching the driver’s penis and exposing her vagina to him.
She also confessed to making sexual comments and forcing the driver to touch her.
In addition to the taxi incident, Torrie pleaded guilty to shouting, swearing, and making racist remarks to a couple on Balmuir Road, Dundee, on June 1, 2020.
She further admitted to communicating indecently with a neighbor on August 1, 2020, by asking to have sex with him and commenting on his penis size.
Prosecutor Lora Apostolova detailed the disturbing behavior, stating: “She sat in the back seat and started asking questions.
She asked where he was born, if he was married, and if he would cheat on his wife.
She climbed over into the front seat.
The driver pulled over and told her she couldn’t move seats while he was in motion.
She touched his penis over his clothing with both of her hands.
He removed her hands.
The accused removed her shorts and showed her vagina and said ‘I would like you to lick it.’ He told her to put her shorts back on.” Further reports indicate that Torrie was dropped off at her ex-husband’s residence in an attempt to persuade him to give her money and alcohol.
The driver, who was present during this incident, recounted that Torrie’s ex-husband warned him: “Be careful of her.
Take her away.
We don’t want her here.” During the incident, the driver began recording the events on his mobile phone.
Torrie responded by offering to pay him if he came inside her house, asking, “I’ll pay you if you come inside.
Are you f****** or not?” It is also noteworthy that Torrie has a history of similar disruptive and sexual misconduct.
In a previous case, she caused a scene on a train after consuming Prosecco, during which she rubbed her body against a train conductor who was attempting to calm her down.
When asked where she was headed, Torrie responded provocatively, “You can take me anywhere.” Her inappropriate behavior led to her being ejected from the train in Perth and subsequently arrested by British Transport Police.
Her criminal record extends further back, as she was placed on the Sex Offenders Register a year prior after performing a sex act in front of police officers who had arrived to investigate a neighbor dispute.
Torrie’s repeated offenses highlight a pattern of troubling behavior that has persisted over several years, raising concerns about her rehabilitation prospects and the safety of those around her.
