I believed I was going to be killed." She recounted the ongoing emotional toll and loss, noting, "The abuse has left me with nothing.
I am still dealing with trauma, and he still has all my belongings — including my underwear." Fahd Ahmed, aged 35, pleaded guilty to various abusive acts, including shouting at her repeatedly, issuing threats, attempting to take her phone and demanding her pin, making offensive remarks, and tearing her clothing.
He was sentenced to a 20-month community payback order with supervision and instructed to participate in a domestic abuse programme.
A one-year non-harassment order was also imposed.
The woman described how Ahmed’s constant monitoring, accusations, and controlling behaviour left her feeling emotionally and physically paralyzed, resulting in her being unable to work and needing therapy.
She expressed her wish that no other women would suffer similar experiences.
