DENEN ANDERSON OF DUNDEE ESCAPES JAIL AFTER HORRIFIC CHILD ABUSE VIDEOS AND NOTES ON BABY MURDER
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Dundee, 18-year-old Denen Anderson was recently brought before the court on serious charges related to the possession and download of child abuse material, including videos depicting the rape of a toddler.Despite the gravity of her actions, Anderson was allowed to walk free from court after entering a guilty plea, though she faces strict restrictions and a period of supervision.
Anderson, who resides on Artillery Lane in Dundee, was found to have downloaded indecent images and videos involving young children, some as young as one year old.
The court was informed that her phone contained footage of a child and an adult woman engaged in sexual acts, alongside numerous still images categorized as indecent.
Additionally, Anderson had notes on her device that explicitly referenced “baby torture,” “toddler murder,” and other heinous terms, indicating a disturbing preoccupation with violent and abusive themes.
The investigation was initiated after police executed a search warrant at Anderson’s grandmother’s residence on November 6, 2020.
During the search, officers recovered several electronic devices, including a USB hard drive, a computer tower, and a mobile phone.
Anderson was present at the scene and, during questioning, expressed a willingness to disclose information, although she was reminded of her legal obligations under caution.
A forensic analysis of her Samsung phone later revealed an indecent video of a male child, approximately two years old, engaged in sexual activity with an adult female.
The analysis also uncovered at least seven indecent images of children aged between one and five years, classified under categories A, B, and C, indicating varying degrees of severity.
Further examination of her devices uncovered deleted notes with explicit references to “kid killers,” “toddler torture,” “baby abuse,” “baby murder,” “child abusers,” and “baby rape,” among other disturbing terms.
These findings suggest a troubling pattern of interest in violent and sexual abuse of young children.
Anderson was subsequently arrested on November 10 and taken into custody, where she was cautioned and charged but did not respond to the allegations.
At her court appearance, Anderson admitted to downloading child pornography between August 24 and November 8, 2020.
The case was adjourned, with Sheriff Alistair Carmichael deferring sentencing until April to allow for psychological assessments and a comprehensive social work report.
The sheriff also imposed restrictions, including a ban on any contact with individuals under 18 and a prohibition from using social networking sites, alongside a two-year registration on the Sex Offenders Register.
Sheriff Carmichael emphasized the seriousness of the case, stating, “You pled guilty to a serious matter here,” and warned Anderson to refrain from accessing illicit material online.
The community and authorities remain vigilant as they await the final sentencing, which will determine the extent of her punishment for these heinous crimes.
