DUNDEE THUG DANIEL BLAKE JAILED FOR BRUTAL ASSAULT AND DRUG POSSESSION
A violent thug named Daniel Blake attacked his former partner and robbed her of cash before stealing a teenage boy’s takeaway order in Dundee.Blake left the woman bruised and cut after targeting her while he was withdrawing from Valium.
He was later found with drugs on his person following his arrest by police.
The 46-year-old, who has previous convictions for violence, is currently at liberty because of the time he has already served in prison.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard details of his crimes, including an assault where Blake demanded money from the woman after discovering she had £130 in a drawer.
He held her down on the bed, pushing her around the jaw, and repeatedly punched her after she tried to stop him from taking the money.
The woman was found to have cuts and bruises and was suffering from a sore face.
Blake fled with the cash and her mobile phone, prompting a neighbor to call the police.
The following month, Blake also grabbed a 15-year-old’s takeaway order while at a property in Coldside, calling him a “junkie” and punching him.
On December 16, 2023, police raided a property in St Mary’s where Blake was suspected of possessing drugs.
He was found attempting to conceal items and was later found to be in possession of 4.7g of a Class A drug (an ester of morphine).
Blake previously admitted to attacking the woman and the boy, breaching a curfew, refusing to produce concealed drugs, and possessing drugs between February and December 2023.
He was sentenced to 32 months in prison backdated to his remand on December 18, 2023, and is now at liberty under a 12-month supervised release order.
Additionally, a two-year non-harassment order was imposed, preventing contact with the woman.
