DUNDEE MANJAILED FOR VIOLENT ATTACK ON PREGNANT GIRLFRIEND
Dale Duncan, aged 24, was involved in an assault on his pregnant 19-year-old girlfriend in Dundee. He targeted her after a night of heavy drinking with friends, attacking her physically by punching, kicking, and throwing her around by the hair.
During the assault, he told her: "I'm away to get back on it." Duncan arrived at her home around 5 am on August 2 and began accusing her of sleeping with his friends before violently grabbing her by the hair and punching her in the face.
He continued by kicking her and jumping on her with both feet.
At one point, he grabbed her by the throat and threatened to kill her, saying: "That's it, I am away to f**k**g kill you." The victim sustained bruising and swelling to her eye, lumps on the back of her head, and cuts and bruises to her limbs.
The couple had been in an on-and-off relationship for two years, and the victim was pregnant with their first child; however, Duncan was not aware of the pregnancy at the time.
The case was brought before Dundee Sheriff Court, where Duncan admitted to attacking her.
He is currently remanded in custody at HMP Perth, with sentencing deferred until January.
