DUNDEE DOMESTIC ABUSER'S VULGAR RANT AT SHERIFF COURT
A domestic abuser named Christopher Walker has been ordered to appear before a sheriff after making a vulgar tirade on a video link at Dundee Sheriff Court, where he told the court, "You can stick your court up your a**e, you f***ing daftie." Walker, aged 37 and from Dundee, was attending proceedings via a prison video link when he disrupted the court by laughing and interrupting as a prosecutor recounted his abusive behavior towards his eight-month pregnant partner.During the court session, the prosecutor described how the woman was terrified of Walker and had barricaded her home with a chest of drawers when he arrived demanding entry.
She feared he would kill her if he entered.
The court was told she went into early labor and had to undergo an emergency C-section within hours of Walker haranguing her.
Walker admitted to acting threateningly and being abusive on September 14 this year and was caught on camera cursing and sniggering as he interrupted the proceedings.
When the prosecutor mentioned the birth of the baby, Walker reacted angrily, refusing the harassment order and making an obscene gesture, stating, "Don’t be putting a non-harassment order on me when I’ve just had a child." Sheriff Paul Brown halted the case to schedule a contempt hearing in person, and Walker continued his outburst, telling the court, "Gie’s life if you want.
You can stick your court up your a**e, you f***ing daftie," then stood up and left.
The court deferred sentencing and contempt proceedings.
The incident followed his earlier actions on September 14, where he turned up at her home, shouting, kicking, and banging, after which police found the woman in distress and the newborn baby.
Walker also admitted to assaulting a stranger in Dundee on September 26 and to possessing cocaine at Ninewells Hospital on January 26.
