DUNDEE MAN ORDERED ON CURFEW FOR ASSAULTING DAUGHTER
A Dundee man named Christopher Petrie, aged 55, has been ordered to stay on a curfew after admitting to assaulting his adult daughter.He pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman by restraining her and repeatedly punching her on the head on April 25, 2021.
Petrie appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court where defense solicitor Jim Lafferty stated: “There had been significant difficulties at home because of (the complainer’s) behaviour towards him and his wife.” The court was told that he accepts he lost his temper and behaved in a way he should not have.
The sheriff sentenced Petrie to a 66-day restriction of liberty order, meaning he cannot leave his house between 7pm and 7am for that period.
The court also issued a 10-year non-harassment order to protect the victim.
