MAN JAILED FOR 14-YEAR CAMPAIGN OF RAPE AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
Sentencing December 2025: A man has been jailed for eight years for a 14-year campaign of violence and rape against five women.Cameron McGregor, 34, targeted his victims from 2008, when he was aged 16, until 2022 in Dundee, and Newport-on-Tay in Fife.
A trial at the High Court in Edinburgh heard how he punched and struck three women, while two others were subjected to repeated rapes.
McGregor, a former scaffolding firm owner, denied the charges but was convicted of violence and rape.
Defence solicitor advocate Kris Gilmartin said that McGregor served in the Army before being medically discharged and went on to run his business.
He said: "Prior to his remand he had 10 employees all of whom have now been made redundant." McGregor was also placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
Judge Lord Ericht made non-harassment orders prohibiting McGregor from contacting or attempting to contact his victims.
Following the sentencing, Det Insp Gordon Patullo said: "McGregor is an abusive individual who subjected his victims to years of horrific offending, and he will now face the consequences of his actions." ——————————————————————- Cameron Ramsay-Mcgregor a resident of Dundee, is set to appear before the High Court in November to face a series of serious criminal charges.
The allegations against him include a range of severe sexual offenses, as well as other violent and criminal acts.
Ramsay has been formally charged with multiple counts of Rape, Sexual Assault, Domestic-Related Assault, Statutory Rape, Theft, and Grievous Bodily Harm.
These charges stem from an investigation into allegations made by a female victim, but the scope of the accusations appears to extend beyond this initial complaint.
According to sources, an anonymous individual submitted evidence supporting the charges, which included proof of the allegations and corroborating documentation.
This evidence has prompted additional women to come forward with similar accusations, suggesting a pattern of offending that has affected multiple victims in the Dundee area.
Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
They have emphasized that individuals can contact the police directly or choose to reach out anonymously, ensuring that witnesses and victims can provide crucial details without fear of reprisal.
The case is currently ongoing, and further developments are anticipated as the legal proceedings move forward in November.
