DUNDEE MAN ACCUSED OF DECADE OF SEXUAL ABUSE
A man named Brian McMurchie, aged 55 and residing on Kenmore Terrace in Dundee, is facing a trial accused of sexually abusing young boys over a period of ten years.He denies five charges of lewd behavior, with one alleged incident taking place in Carnoustie.
The charges include targeting one boy on two separate occasions more than two years apart.
It is claimed that in October 1996, at an address in Dundee, he climbed into bed with an 11-year-old and engaged in sexual abuse.
McMurchie is also accused of assaulting the same boy again in February 1999.
Additionally, he faces allegations of abusing a boy aged around 7 or 8 years old in Carnoustie in 1997 or 1998, and of abusing another boy aged approximately 10 or 11 years old in Dundee between June 1996 and June 1998.
There is further allegation of abuse against a fourth boy, aged 11, at an address in Dundee between April 2005 and April 2006.
McMurchie is scheduled to appear again at Perth Sheriff Court on October 30 for proceedings related to these charges.
