US PAEDOPHILE ‘A MASTER MANIPULATOR’ GETS JAIL FOR INDECENCY IN DUNDEE
Brian Christian Hohman, a 46-year-old from Great Barrington, Massachusetts, has been sentenced after being found guilty of an act of gross indecency in Dundee. He is described as a 'master manipulator' by one of his child victims.
Hohman was previously convicted in Berkshire Superior Court in 1993, where he admitted to multiple counts of child rape, indecent assault, battery, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, totaling four counts of rape, nine counts of child abuse, nine counts of indecent assault, six counts of indecent assault on a person over 14, and four counts of contributing to delinquency.
He was ordered to serve up to ten years in a state prison and spent six years incarcerated.
Despite this, he continued to pose a danger, as evidenced by previous victims who described him as 'cunning, dangerous and unrepentant.' One victim, now in his mid-30s, recounted a distressing encounter shortly after Hohman’s release from prison in the late 1990s, during which he saw Hohman with a woman and a baby, describing it as 'one of the worst moments' of his life.
The victim emphasized that 'not even six years in prison changed his behaviour.' During the Dundee trial, it was revealed that Hohman traveled with an American passport, which he later surrendered, though there was no clear policy on whether offenders under supervision in the US need to relinquish their travel documents.
Hohman was sentenced by Sheriff Richard Davidson to one year in jail and was placed on the sex offenders register for ten years.
His name is still on some national registries, although removed from the Massachusetts registry website.
The case raised concerns about he ability to travel freely without proper monitoring, highlighting ongoing risks associated with his behavior.
