AHMED ABDOULE FROM HULL SENTENCED TO 11 YEARS FOR BRUTAL RAPE IN EAST YORKSHIRE
In February 2018, a disturbing case unfolded in Hull, East Yorkshire, involving a 33-year-old man named Ahmed Abdoule who committed a heinous assault on a teenage girl.Abdoule, a resident of Hull, was convicted of holding a sharp piece of wood against the victim's throat and subjecting her to a brutal rape, an attack marked by racial comments and threats that have left lasting scars.
According to court proceedings, the victim, who was known to Abdoule prior to the assault, endured a terrifying ordeal that she described as both violent and degrading.
During the attack, Abdoule forcibly took her to his home, where he locked the door to prevent her escape.
Despite her desperate pleas and tears, he continued his assault, stabbing her with a piece of wood into her stomach and forcing her upstairs.
Once upstairs, Abdoule held the weapon against her throat while raping her.
The court heard that he made disturbing remarks, telling her that she could not be a virgin because she was white, implying racial prejudice and adding a layer of psychological torment to the physical violence.
The judge, Mark Bury, highlighted the cruelty of the attack, noting that the victim had tried to plead for her safety by claiming she was a virgin, in an attempt to halt Abdoule’s assault.
In response, Abdoule dismissed her claim and made the racist comment.
During the assault, Abdoule also ordered the girl not to look at him and pulled her top over her face to prevent her from seeing him.
After completing the assault, he expressed a disturbing sense of satisfaction, telling her that he had 'liked it' and warning her that she was not the only girl who would be punished.
He further reiterated his racist remark, claiming that 'my country would love you.' Following the attack, Abdoule drove the victim away from his home, giving her a new top to wear and instructing her to 'cherish it.' He also threatened to kill her if she disclosed what had happened.
Despite denying the charges, Abdoule was found guilty in court and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
The impact on the victim has been profound.
In her victim impact statement, she expressed feelings of insecurity and fear, stating that she no longer feels safe in her own home.
She revealed that she now finds it difficult to speak to boys or men and that her behavior has changed significantly since the attack.
Her mother also shared her feelings of guilt and failure as a parent, admitting that she worries about her daughter's safety even during simple outings like shopping.
She expressed regret, saying, 'I feel guilty about what happened.
It is my job to protect my daughter, and although I did the best I could I have failed her in the end.' This case underscores the devastating effects of violent crime and racial prejudice, leaving a community in Hull to grapple with the aftermath of such a brutal assault and the profound trauma inflicted upon a young girl by Ahmed Abdoule.
