During the brief hearing, Walker pleaded guilty to five charges related to the possession and creation of these illicit images.
Among the material he admitted to possessing was a particularly disturbing category of content that included images of animals, such as dogs, and even squid, engaging in sexual acts.
This revelation highlights the extreme and depraved nature of the material involved in the case.
The offences committed by Walker spanned a period from June 2010 to February of this year, indicating a prolonged period of illegal activity.
The court proceedings revealed that Walker had made more than 1,000 indecent still and moving images of children, with approximately 80 of these classified as category A, the most serious level of such material.

This includes psychiatric and medical reports that will likely influence sentencing.
Walker was granted bail and is scheduled to return to Carlisle Crown Court on September 17 for sentencing.
