June 2010 Man admits downloading child porn A 61-year-old man is facing a jail sentence after admitting downloading indecent images of children. Walter Morrison was caught after police received a tip off and raided the house in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire in November. Glasgow Sheriff Court heard how videos and images were recovered which showed young children performing sex acts. Sentence on Morrison was deferred for background reports until next month. He was released on bail and placed on the sex offenders register. The court heard how police raided Morrison’s home in Bishopbriggs on 19 November last year. Morrison admitted downloading images among “adult stuff” and estimated the ages of the children on the videos as 16, 14 and 15. After he was arrested police found 130 indecent videos and 29 indecent photos of children on his computer. During his police interview, Morrison admitted downloading indecent videos of children out of “curiosity”. He later pleaded guilty to downloading the images at his home between October 2007 and November 2009. The court heard how married father-of-two Morrison had since lost his job as an inspector with Glasgow Housing Association.
