Aberdeen policeman found guilty of Christmas party sex assault on female colleague Police constable Thomas Clark, 26, was placed on the sex offenders register after he touched the female officer in a sexual manner at a city centre bar.

An Aberdeen police officer has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a female colleague at a Christmas party.

Thomas Clark, 26, was on trial at Aberdeen Sheriff Court accused of sexually touching the woman without her permission as they enjoyed festive drinks with colleagues in a city centre bar on December 5 2024.

Clark – a police constable based in Bucksburn – was convicted by Sheriff Craig Findlater of touching the woman by grabbing her backside at Siberia Bar and Hotel on Belmont Street.

It was stated by Clark’s victim that he had been behaving “weirdly” towards her earlier in the evening – with him giving her “a creepy compliment” at one stage.

As the party moved from Miller and Carter to Slains and then to Siberia Bar, Clark told the group he was leaving and the pair hugged.

It was following the hug that the woman said Clark let his hand slide down her back and grabbed her buttocks.
