BOOTLE MAN SENTENCED TO 32 WEEKS FOR THREATS AND ABUSE
During his court appearance, Terrance Stewart, aged 34 from Edinburgh Close in Bootle, pleaded guilty to threatening and abusive behaviour.
The incident took place around 2.20am on September 26 last year in Southport, when police were called to a disturbance.
Witnesses reported that Stewart was extremely abusive, shouting threats such as 'F*** you, you little d***head, I'll do you in.
My dog's going to maul you.
If you come closer, I'll bang you out', and he refused to secure his dog, which he claimed was an XL Bully, threatening to set it on police officers.
Stewart was also under the influence of alcohol, showing signs of drunkenness and carrying a bottle of vodka.
He had 10 prior convictions for 12 offenses, with the last in February 2024.
The court, upon hearing the case, did not consider the situation serious enough for a custodial sentence and sentenced him to eight weeks in prison.
He was also warned about his behaviour following the previous conviction for coercive and controlling behaviour, and was ultimately sentenced to serve the full 24-week sentence from January, plus an additional eight weeks for breaching a restraining order, totalling 32 weeks in prison.
His actions demonstrated a pattern of aggressive and violent behaviour, making his case a clear example of domestic and threatening misconduct.
