A woman responsible for stabbing her partner to death has been handed a prison sentence.
Gerard Hand, aged 44 and a father, died from a single stab injury at a house on Church Walk in Bootle, Merseyside, on 22 November 2023.
Amanda McDonnell, who does not have a fixed address, pleaded guilty to manslaughter at a Liverpool Crown Court hearing in May.
She was sentenced on Friday to eight and a half years behind bars.
Emergency responders attended the location on the morning of the incident, but despite attempts to save him, Mr.
Hand died in hospital, as reported by Merseyside Police.
While she was initially charged with murder, McDonnell was later convicted of manslaughter in court.
