March 2017 Paedophile who subjected boy to five-year ‘systematic campaign of abuse’ jailed for 13 years A paedophile who subjected a young boy to a five-year “systematic campaign of abuse” has been jailed for 13 years. Stuart Graham Eyre, 65, of Hill View Drive in Redhill, abused the boy at an address in Wimbledon between 1973 and 1978. The matter was reported to police in 2003 but officers were unable to trace Eyre. The case was re-open in 2015 with Eyre eventually charged in March last year. Last Friday (March 10), after a five-day trial, Eyre was found guilty of eight sexual abuse charges against the boy, for which he was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment at Kingston Crown Court on Thursday (March 16). Eyre was found guilty of four counts of indecent assault against a boy under the age of 14, three counts of inciting a boy under 14 years of age to commit an act of gross indecency, and one count of serious sexual assault after a five-day trial. He has also been ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for life.
